The Bank of Tampa is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account through December 31, 2009. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules including the temporary increase in FDIC deposit insurance from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2009.

In accordance with the FDIC’s definition of “noninterest-bearing transaction accounts” the following accounts offered by The Bank of Tampa are covered under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program: Personal Checking, Senior Checking, Minaret Checking, Small Business Checking, Commercial Checking, Commercial Interest Checking, and Attorneys’ Interest-On-Trust Accounts (IOTAs).
