COREY NEIL NAMED DIRECTOR OF PERSONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES
Bill West, President of The Bank of Tampa, recently announced the appointment of Corey Neil as Director of Personal Financial Services and Senior Vice President. Corey will be responsible for leading The Bank of Tampa’s efforts in further deepening and expanding the bank’s service areas in personal banking and wealth management services.
Corey has been with The Bank of Tampa for over eight years and has a total of more than 15 years of commercial banking experience, all of which have been spent in the Tampa Bay area. He was previously the Office Executive and Senior Vice President/Commercial Banking at The Bank of Tampa’s Westshore Office. Prior to joining The Bank of Tampa in 2003, Corey was locally employed by SunTrust. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University in 1996. He is also a 2001 graduate of the Tampa Connection, as well as a 2010 graduate of Leadership Tampa. Corey is also a 2007 graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking through the American Bankers Association and their partnership with the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Corey serves on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough Education Foundation and is the current Chairman of the Teaching Tools for Hillsborough Schools program committee, for which he has been actively involved for more than eight years. He is also a board member for the L.V. Thompson Family Foundation and Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as Treasurer of the Ovacome Foundation of Tampa Bay and as a board member for The Tampa Connection.
