The Bank of Tampa Appoints Craig West to Senior Vice President, Market Director, Clearwater

TAMPA, Fla., July 26, 2017 – The Bank of Tampa today announced the appointment of Craig West as senior vice president, market director for the Clearwater office, which is expected to open in early 2018 and will be located at 900 S. Fort Harrison Ave.
“Since coming on board in 2012, Craig has been an invaluable member of our team and has played an integral role in growing our Downtown St. Petersburg office,” said Scott Gault,executive vice president, market president, Pinellas County. “This move is a homecoming for Craig, as he brings many years of direct experience in the Clearwater market and is a lifelong resident of Pinellas County. His commitment to The Bank of Tampa’s client experience is beyond reproach, and we look forward to the immediate impact he will make in the area.”
West brings more than 35 years’experience in the financial services industry, and more than 15 years of banking experience specifically in the Clearwater area. He joined The Bank of Tampa in 2012 as vice president, private relationship manager at the company’s Downtown St. Petersburg office. Prior to joining The Bank of Tampa, West served as vice president and branch manager at Synovus Bank.
West is involved in many community organizations throughout Pinellas County. He serves on the board of the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, Sunsets at Pier 60 and Clothes for Kids. West is a member of The Rotary St. Petersburg and serves as Foundation Chair and was a past President for Rotary Clearwater Beach. West holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from the University of South Florida.
The Clearwater office will be The Bank of Tampa’s third office located in Pinellas County. In 2012, the company expanded to Pinellas County with it Downtown St. Petersburg office, and in May 2017, it opened Central Pinellas office.
