The Bank of Tampa Appoints Scott Gault as Hillsborough County Market President

TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 4, 2019 – The Bank of Tampa today announced today that Scott Gault has been appointed market president for Hillsborough County. Gault will oversee commercial and personal banking throughout Hillsborough County. In addition, Gault will continue to be responsible for leading The Bank of Tampa’s Small Business Administration (SBA) and Treasury Services lines of business.  Gault succeeds Corey Neil, who was recently promoted to chief banking officer at The Bank of Tampa.

“We are pleased to have Scott transition into his new role.  He was very effective in leading our Pinellas County team and was instrumental in establishing our presence in Pinellas County,” said Neil.  “Scott will ensure that clients continue to receive the service that they have come to expect from our bank and he will work with a well-seasoned team of Hillsborough County bankers to grow our presence in Hillsborough County.”

With more than 25 years of diversified experience in banking and finance, Gault joined The Bank of Tampa in 2015 and previously served as Pinellas County market president.  Gault serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County, USF St. Petersburg College of Business, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, and St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in international finance from Florida Metropolitan University. He earned his undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Gault is currently enrolled in the Columbia University Business School’s Advanced Management Program and has completed the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business’s Bank Financial Leadership program.
