The Bank of Tampa Appoints Katrina L. Walters to Vice President, Trust Officer

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 2, 2018The Bank of Tampa today announced the appointment of Katrina L. Walters to vice president, trust officer. Walters brings nearly 20 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, specializing in wealth management, fiduciary services and financial and investment planning.

“We are so fortunate to bring Katrina onboard our Trust Services team,” said Beth Horner, senior vice president and Trust Services director at The Bank of Tampa. “Katrina’s previous background in wealth management enables her to understand the big picture related of how various asset types are interrelated and can be strategically structured to accomplish clients’ individual goals. This, coupled with the fact that she brings an enormous amount of experience in personal relationship management, ultimately makes her the perfect fit for the team.”

Prior to joining The Bank of Tampa, Walters worked as an associate director of development for gift planning at the University of South Florida Foundation. Prior to that position, she worked as a vice president in the wealth management divisions of Northern Trust, BB&T and SunTrust Bank.

Holding true to The Bank of Tampa’s commitment to its community, Walters is involved with community organizations throughout Tampa Bay. She is on the Board of Directors for the Cornell Club of Sarasota-Manatee and is a member of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council, as well as the Charitable Gift Planners of Southwest Florida.

Walters holds a Bachelor of Arts in government from Cornell University. She holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner designation, as well as the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation and the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation.
