Brett D. Divers Appointed to The Bank of Tampa’s Board of Directors

TAMPA, Fla., Jan 16, 2017 – The Bank of Tampa today announced the appointment of Brett D. Divers to its board of directors. Divers is the managing partner and one of the founding shareholders of Mills Paskert Divers Attorneys at Law.
“We are so fortunate to have Brett join our board of directors,” said Bill West, president and CEO of The Bank of Tampa. “He is a well-respected business and community leader within the Tampa Bay area, but and The Bank of Tampa will benefit greatly from his insight and expertise.”
Divers joins The Bank of Tampa’s board with more than 20 years of experience in business litigation. His experience includes a variety of business cases dealing with everything from complex construction to banking issues. Additionally, Divers serves as a mediator in business and construction litigation cases.
"I’ve kept a pulse on The Bank of Tampa throughout my entire professional career,” said Divers. “Watching The Bank of Tampa become one of Tampa’s largest community banks has been exciting, and I am eager to be a part of future growth opportunities."
Divers is a member of the American Bar Association, and is chair-elect of the association’s Fidelity and Surety Law Committee. He is also a member of The Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the National Bond Claims Association, the Gulfcoast Fidelity and Surety Institute, and the Dartmouth Lawyers Association.
Divers is involved with several community organizations. He is on the board of trustees for Berkeley Preparatory School and the board of trustees for Henry B. Plant Museum. Divers holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Dartmouth College, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida.
