David J. Mitchell Appointed as Senior Vice President, Market Director

TAMPA, Fla., - The Bank of Tampa is pleased to announce the appointment of David Mitchell as Senior Vice President, Market Director of its North Pinellas region.
"David brings decades of high-impact leadership in commercial and community banking, with a proven track record of driving growth, elevating banker performance, and strengthening client relationships across the Tampa Bay region," said Owen LaFave, Executive Vice President and Pinellas County Market President. Prior to joining The Bank of Tampa, Mitchell served as a Community Banking Executive at Synovus Bank, where he led key strategic initiatives across commercial and private banking. In this role, he focused on strengthening credit expertise, enhancing sales performance, improving collaboration, and supporting the development of high-performing banking teams. These efforts contributed to stronger productivity and a more consistent client experience.
A dedicated supporter of community advancement, Mitchell has served on the boards of Bolay Inc., Tampa Theatre, the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg, Tampa Film Institute, and the Sunshine State Economic Development Corporation.
Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
