The Bank of Tampa Expands Market Presence to Plant City; Opens Loan Production Office

TAMPA, Fla., May 8, 2019The Bank of Tampa today announced the opening of a new loan production office in Plant City, located at 120 N. Collins Street. The new office is led by Nick Thurston, Plant City market director. Thurston, who joined The Bank of Tampa in February of 2018, is a veteran Plant City banker with more than 20 years of experience.

“We invest in the community by creating a physical presence” said Thurston. “For more than a year, we have been working to bring The Bank of Tampa’s brand to Plant City. Now that we have a physical presence here, right in the heart of Downtown Plant City, I look forward to watching us become an integral part of the Plant City community.”

Thurston is also involved in community organizations throughout Hillsborough County. He serves as the chairman of the Plant City YMCA board of directors and president of the Historic Plant City Main Street board of directors. He also serves on the board of the Plant City Chamber of Commerce, Brandon Regional Hospital and is a member of the Plant City Noon Rotary Club.
